I've been using ONC for a couple of years now & won't use anything else on my aging, curly, brunette hair. They're a bit pricier but it's so worth it because the ingredients aren't toxic (that I know of) & it doesn't fry my hair like so many other brands do. I do wish the color would last a bit longer tho', as I'm having to color it every 4 to 5 weeks & as one ages, it gets tougher & tougher to do one's own hair.

I tried this color for the first time after having used store box medium brown for years wanting to get away from chemicals as much as possible while still using a reasonable process to color my hair that seemed reliable. It is really just as easy as the box at the store and did not have the stinging of the eyes and scalp burning. Also, there was no itchiness on my scalp or leftover dye on on it after washing it out and I did not have the extreme dryness the box dye created each month. I have resistant gray and it covered great and three weeks later is wearing well. The only thing I found is the coverage is very uniform upon application, hiding my natural highlights, but after a wash or two it eases up to let natural tones through.

I absolutely love this product. I have looked for years for a cleaner hair dye and this product makes my 74 year old hair look very natural and healthy. It’s my favorite. It is very easy to use and much safer than other dyes. The color, 4N, is a dark chestnut. Funny, but I look forward to coloring my hair now. No burning feel, no smell, covers my gray well, and the result is soft and beautiful hair. Thanks for a great product.

I like the color however, the second time I used the product (same color as 1st time) it did not cover my gray roots. It would help if the mixing cup had measuring notations on it. I may not have used the same amount of color gel as the first time I used the product when gray root coverage was good.

I’ve been coloring my hair forever and always looking for the right red. After giving up toxic ingredients in every aspect of my life covid finally led me to giving up toxic hair color. I mix this with one other color to give me a beautiful auburn it’s really easy to use —there’s no stinging no burning. Now that my hairdresser is back at work I take it with me to him. It covers gray nicely especially for a clean line!
